Played by Liam O’Brien. Wizard (2), School of Transmutation
Human. Mess of reddish brown hair. Unshaven. Blue eyes. Filthy road clothes with long coat. Carries two family heirloom tomes in holsters under his coat. 33 years old. Carries a dagger.
Nearly died in fighting alongside Nott the previous day, but was saved by Nott. Studied magic when he was younger, gave it up for a while, recently picked it up again. Thinks of himself as a bit of a self-starter. Regards the Soltryce Academy as a very fancy place. Reads lots of books, but has no interest in farming books. Has previously cast Find Familiar, and now can summon his familiar, Frumpkin. Frumpkin looks like an orange patchy tabby, and Liam gained inspiration from this picture he linked to on Twitter. The name comes from his childhood cat. Has been traveling with Nott for months. Regards Nott as a companion and new friend. Caleb and Nott avoid cities and stick to the woods and farms because Nott is usually unwelcome and chased out. Upon Nott listing various heists options, Caleb mentioned that the coin would stay on the table, and that The Money Pot scheme was for farmers, anyway. Told the Crownsguard his name was Caleb Widogast.
Nott the Brave
Played by Sam Riegel. Rogue (2)
Goblin. Green skin. Green hair. Yellow eyes. Elongated ears. Pointy teeth. When going out in public, wears a “mask” made from the lower half of a porcelain doll’s face that is white with painted red lips. Wears wrappings to disguise skin and ears as well as a hood. Not great clothes. Wields a shortsword and hand crossbow.
Travels with Caleb. Saved Caleb’s life the previous day. Requires alcohol (beer’s fine, but she prefers the harder stuff) to not be quite as jittery. Went window shopping without her mask on for things to steal while Caleb slept. She was seen by people, but not caught. Is on the run from someone. Is learning magic from Caleb. Has a list of heist options. Because she is a goblin, and has a propensity for stealing, Nott is usually unwelcome in cities, so Caleb and Nott typically stick to the woods and farms. Learned to play The Crick-Queen’s Call from Jester. Tried to sneak her crossbow into the Carnival, but was caught by Yasha. Told the Crownsguard her name was Temple.
Played by Laura Bailey. Cleric (2), Trickster Domain
Tiefling. Blue skin. Freckles. Blue hair. Wears a pretty cute dress. Has human feet. Wields a sickle.
Spent the day prior loading crates for the Baumbach Family Brewery with Beau and Fjord. Learned The Crick-Queen’s Call card game from the workers there. Did not do very well. Nearly died due to a giant boa constrictor. Was rewarded by Ronaldo for saving his daughter’s life. Asked to have her fortune told by Molly. Is looking for her father. Mentioned that she wanted to help Fjord get to the Soltryce Academy. Played a prank in the bookshop of moving books around and turning them backwards. Is single, as far as Beau knows. Called out to her patron/deity, “Dude, are you here? Because this is the coolest s*** we’ve ever seen!” during battle before casting Toll the Dead. Follows the same deity that she did when Laura played her previously. Told the Crownsguard her name was Shirley.
Played by Marisha Ray. Monk (2)
Human. Brown hair pulled back in a bun with an undercut. Wears baggy monk vestiges of gray and blue with a blue sash. Makeup from a couple of days ago. Wields a staff.
Named Beauregard because her parents wanted a son. Considers herself a simple girl with simple needs. Spent the day prior loading crates for the Baumbach Family Brewery with Jester and Fjord. Battled a giant boa constrictor with them as well. Was rewarded by Ronaldo for saving his daughter’s life. Doesn’t see what the big deal is about the Soltryce Academy. Loves petting Frumpkin. Enjoys drinking and got expertly sauced on their day-long brew tour. Agreed to be carried by Yasha into the circus, then asked to be held by her throughout the show. Turned down the price of five gold. Killed the second creature they battled. Told the Crownsguard her name was Beau.
Played by Travis Willingham. Warlock (2), Hexblade
Half-Orc. Green skin with a large scar across his face. No visible tusks. Black hair. Beat-up leathers. Piecemeal armor, though the bracers are of some importance to his background. Almost 30 years old, and looks every bit of those 30. Wields a falchion.
Spent the day prior loading crates for the Baumbach Family brewery with Jester and Beau. Battled a giant boa constrictor with them as well. Was rewarded by Ronaldo for saving his daughter’s life, though he initially wanted to give the reward back. Is “handsome” according to Jester and Beau. Doesn’t want to think about Caleb and Nott looking at him. Wants to keep a low-profile. Wants to get to and into the Soltryce Academy to learn more about magic, as it is “the place to be.” Is allergic to Frumpkin. Told the Crownsguard that his name was Beau.
Played by Taliesin Jaffe. Blood Hunter (2)
Tiefling. Lavender skin. Red eyes. Curled horns that are pierced with gems and baubles. Tattoo of a peacock on right side of his face and neck. Has other yet unseen tattoos. Ostentatious robes that allow for part of his chest to be exposed. Carries pouch on his belt. Very broad in his dress. Was designed to give cosplayers a nervous breakdown. Wields two scimitars.
Works for the Fletchling and Moondrop Traveling Carnival of Curiosities as a publicist and occasional performer. Read Jester’s fortune while passing out flyers at the Nestled Nook. After faking his way through reading the fortune of a sick farmer, told the farmer, “Platinum Dragon be with you.” Battled the creatures at the show, but because he was a member of the carnival, was placed under arrest. Told the Crownsguard that he was “Shirley’s” brother.
Played by Ashley Johnson. Barbarian (2)
Aasimar. Very, very pale skin. Dark makeup with dark line running from lip to chin. Black hair that fades to white at the ends and is matted/braided/dreaded. Two different color eyes (right is green-blue, left is violet). Clothes are a little tattered. Wields massive greatsword that she sheathes in a nice sheath on her back. Taller than your average lass. Very strong.
Works for the Fletchling and Moondrop Traveling Carnival of Curiosities as a roadie and the world’s worst hype man. Enjoys ale. She takes money and weapons from people as they enter the carnival tent. Offered to carry Beau into the carnival so that she wouldn’t have to limp without her walking stick. Upon being asked to hold Beau through the performance, said it would cost five gold, but it was the best way to see the show. Told the Crown’s Guard her name was Mary. Led a Crownsguard, Flynn, to where she claimed the singer was and then ran off into the night.
