Following Vax’s near-death experience at the hands of Lord Briarwood, @IsYitzack was gracious enough to calculate and write up the following analysis on Death Saving Throws. This doesn’t just apply to our favorite reckless rogue, either. In his words:
The next time your PC or favorite Critical Role character is rolling on death, you can look up the odds of death given their current status (assuming that they roll the rest of their death-saving throws and are not attacked).
Best of five rolls determines life. Rolling 1 counts as two failures. Rolling 20 brings the character to consciousness with 1 hp. Anything else equal to or higher than 10 is one success; 9 or lower is a failure.
|Successes||Failures||Odds of Life||Odds of Death|
Thanks once again, IsYitzack!
