In the mere 17 days Vox Machina knew Doty, the obedient automaton wrote and sketched his way into their hearts.
Okay, maybe not their hearts, but definitely ours.
Anyway, as we fast forward a year and potentially meet his replacement, we figured it was worth compiling a few words from the robot itself. Which, were words mostly spoken by Tary. Transcribing is hard work, yo.

Often, our Monster Analyses are fairly in-depth looks into whatever battle happened in the most recent episode, including discussions of monster histories and player strategies. Level 17 characters, and the monsters that fight them, have so many differentiated abilities, each aspect of the battle merits a closer analysis. As we saw in Full Circle, Level 1 characters and corresponding monsters are much more limited and generalized in their abilities, so we can look more generally at their battles. This episode had no fewer than four battles: the initial skinned cat attack, the pack of cats, the demogoron and friends, and the machines.

In the continuation and conclusion of Liam's metaverse, we laughed, we cried, some people died, it became a part of us. Below, we've compiled all interesting and un-interesting stats alike from the session (mostly the former), as well as some fantastic fan art (thanks to @kendrawcandraw, @owlishee, @samazkma, and @cwoodsart!).
Read MoreWhen your inner child is brought to the forefront and is facing down the end of all things, there is only one thing you can do to power through: reference EVERYTHING. (Seriously, we caught 94 references this week.)
There has been much speculation that Liam's third one-shot may be set in a similar tone as his first world (though he did attempt to remind us that there are other worlds). While the first trip only had four players, this endeavor will feature seven players, Matthew Mercer included.
Regardless, whether you somehow have missed it up to this point or have watched it innumerable times, we figured it was only fair to offer a primer on the post-apocalyptic wasteland that was Warner Bros. Studios in the first adventure. This first episode is also a fantastic example of directions you can stretch the core rules of D&D to fit whatever setting or creatures you see fit outside of typical fantasy (as well as how to create a world in which your friends are already immersed!).
Pyrot3ch-nick asked: How many times has VM gone into combat due to one or two characters’ actions?
To answer that, we’ll have to be a little myopic. Often Vox Machina’s intention was to battle in the first place, but it was one or two characters’ actions that set the battle in motion. Updated to Episode 94.
Total: 21
Read MoreFun Fact: This was the seventh time that "Turn Down for What" was referenced on Critical Role.
How many times has Taryon has puked since he appeared?
How many times has Vax used his Reliable Talent feature?
Approximately 95 times. An exact number is difficult because we don’t know how many times he rolled a natural 10 versus actually getting to use the feature.
Can we get a Monster Analysis for Sam Riegel? Because I'm pretty sure he's not human.

Like the chain golem, the gray render is another pull from 3.5e and Pathfinder (instead of 5e). Nine- to ten-feet-tall magical beasts of usually non- or neutral alignment, gray renders often find and latch onto “pets,” whom they'll protect to the death for the next ten years of their life. Their perception is aided by their six eyes. To quote Matt directly:
“[Gray Renders] are asexual creatures that only reproduce one, asexually, per generation. They are territorial, and very protective of their young, and generally sometimes bind themselves as a protector of a certain territory… [G]iven certain circumstances can choose either an individual or space to protect, as well. But, that can depend on circumstances. Otherwise, they can be a dangerous force of nature.”
