(But he doesn't have a hammer any more)
(0:00:16) Matt: Beginning with our first sponsor, Ravensburger.
(0:00:19) Sam: Oh, Doc! I’m back from the future with crazy news! Liam: Oh, I can barely see the script through these glasses! We’ve done this before, Marty, how back could it be? Sam: You don’t get it, doc, I went to the year 2020. And it was heavy! Liam: Heavy? What did Biff stir up more trouble with his Sports Almanac? [...] Oh, is it your kids, Marty? Are they in trouble? [...] Oh, don’t tell me too much! It’ll affect reality as we know it! Sam: Doc, are you checking a photo to see if I’m disappearing? [...] Liam: Whatever happened, I’m sure you solved it with some hilarious antics, like riding a hoverboard or wearing a Darth Vader mask to fool your dad-- (Back to the Future)
(0:01:28) Liam: I went a little There Will Be Blood there for a second.
(0:01:32) Liam: Or punch Biff in the face. [...] Great Scott, Marty, was there anything good about 2020?
(0:01:41) Sam: The folks at Ravensburger released their new cooperative dice game, Back to the Future: Dice Through Time. In it, Biff steals the DeLorean and takes a joy ride through time, doing untold damage to the space-time continuum. It’s up to you to restore the temporal order! Liam: Oh great Scott, that sounds more like it! Sam: Jump into your DeLorean, traverse the Back to the Future film trilogy and return items to their proper place in time!
(0:02:14) Sam: Is this close to the voice? Marisha: It’s a little Morty. Sam: Oh Scoob!
(0:02:21) Sam: The game includes four miniature DeLoreans, a letter from the future Doc Brown, and colorful dice, Scoob! And you can, like, enter for your chance to win a copy of the game by heading over to @RavensburgerNA on Twitter to like, see where they’re giving away 10 copies of the game right now. It’s available at Target and in the UK. [...] So go check it out at http://bit.ly/CROUTATIME.
(0:03:20) Liam: Hold on, let me get this tribble off of my head. (Star Trek)

The Mighty Nein had their first meeting with Rumblecusp’s resident “god,” and to ensure they weren’t cooked alive and could have Traveler Con on the island, they gave up 180 gold, 3 gold rings, a pouch of gold dust (worth 550 gold), a pouch of suude, a pearl necklace, Veth’s enchanted flask, Caleb’s Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location, Caduceus’ periapt of wound closure (originally bought by Molly), elven chainmail, the dagger of denial, Skingorger, and Star Razor.
As Jester tried to tell Viridian, gods don’t need material things. We, along with the rest of the Nein, are unimpressed with this self-proclaimed god in the self-proclaimed center of Exandria. Let’s dive into what Vokodo really is based on their interactions with Vokodo, the volcano, the Vo Community, and the island of Rumblecusp. (If you’d like to read the transcripts, you can find them in our compendium here.)

"When you prescribe, you really help out the channel. We also got a Dis-Kord, where a bunch of people talk about muscles and fighting. You can also check out me and my buddy Pike's Pastry-On and coffee. Also ale."
In addition to this episode’s stats, we are also pleased to present our dedicated page to Narrative Telephone stats, comparing the data across the full series.

Looking like something out of a Edvard Munch painting with less screaming and more sobbing, bodaks are undead horrors that can kill an adventurer with a single look. In D&D lore, bodaks stem from individuals who worshiped Orcus during their life and chose to undergo a ritual to die and rise as a bodak in undeath. Of all the undead creatures a person could want to be, becoming a bodak is certainly… a choice, but we’re not going to judge (much). We don’t know if bodaks in Exandria have the same origin, although Orcus did make a feature in Campaign 1.
What’s disconcerting about this particular bodak is that while it’s already a known element on Rumblecusp, it’s not supposed to be in the Shaded Tangle, according to Viridian. It usually resides around the Ruins; for it to be in the Shaded Tangle, it would have either made a two day walking trip there for some unknown reason, or there is more than one bodak on this island. Considering bodaks don’t just spring up out of nowhere, the fact that there is potentially a second one on a completely remote island is reason for concern.

Beneath Rumblecusp Isle, there's a place with a volcano
That's where you want to go to just give away it all
Tendrils in the air, magical things leaving from your hands
We'll be boiling inside with sacrifices to a false god's demands
Down with Vokodo

Do you know what level 12 Feats the Nein have picked up? Are you doing a Level 12 Update? Have you seen their character sheets?
The character cards are up to date to episode 100 (thanks, Max!), and we’ve uploaded our character sheets with all the information that can be adequately extrapolated. We will update them as we can, and our next Level Update article will come out when we feel we have learned enough to share. What we do know is that with the exception of Caduceus, everyone who had the ability to take a feat seems to have elected to do so instead of increasing ability scores.
As many of our older followers are aware, we do not have access to the character sheets proper. All of our stats, from character sheets to roll data to basically anything you see here, is researched and deduced from what is made available from the cast members themselves. For those who are asking us to use our “insider knowledge,” we’re flattered you think so highly of us, but nope, we’re just that good. Also, super humble.
When did [person/character] say [specific word or phrase]?
We’ve gotten a number of this style of question over the years, and we had our own methods of determining the best way to search the transcripts to find this type of information easily, but now it’s even easier for you to find the answer to your question with Stuart Langridge’s special transcript search tool!
Is there somewhere I can see how many combat encounters the Mighty Nein have between levels?
If you compare this chart of when the Mighty Nein leveled to this chart of which encounters the Mighty Nein faced, that can be easily determined!

There has been a lot of speculation lately regarding the Vo Community’s spiritual leader, Viridian, and her potential connection to a Campaign 1 notable NPC. Speculation isn’t our game, but fact presentation is. Ahead, we present what we know about Viridian as of C2Ep101, as well as the individual from the last campaign that the fandom has drawn potential ties to: Vilya. If you’re interested, we have two new quote compendiums about Viridian and Vilya.

I look at you all, see the memories there sleeping
While my bone harp gently weeps
I look for the storm, and I take in the lightning
Still my bone harp gently weeps...
(0:02:48) Travis: That’s some DARPA math.

(0:14:22) Liam: Was that an anime gasp?
(0:26:48) Sam: So this place is like the Bermuda Triangle mixed with Professor Xavier’s. And the island from Lost. Ashley: Island of Doctor Moreau. Travis: Savage Lands.
