Meow we suggest the bug-topped pancakes with a side of blueberries, purrhaps? They're clawfully delicious, if we may be so furward.

WWKA: The Tomb Takers and the Eyes of Nine

Thanks to @Omegasama_art for this art piece!

Normally, we tend to focus on one specific topic that seems particularly relevant for a WWKA. This time, however, we’re going to be taking a couple of currently disparate topics and putting them in one article, since the players have been drawing some potential connections between the two in-game. We’re also going to take a moment to clarify some confusion we’ve seen about the planes in D&D, especially since it seems relevant to the topic at-hand.

We have several relevant compendiums for you to peruse:

What We Know About Vess DeRogna and Her Interests

What We Know About Vess DeRogna and Her Interests

Thanks to @wilgonsi for this art piece!

The Mighty Nein have opted to take Vess DeRogna up on her collaboration offer as their first post-Traveler Con adventure. It’s time for an update on what we know about the Archmage of Antiquity and her interest in Aeor.

It’s worth noting that, while the Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount contains a lot of information about the topics we’re going to discuss, the information in there isn’t necessarily canon to the current Critical Role storyline. For example, Rumblecusp in EGtW has very little in common with the Rumblecusp the Mighty Nein encountered, and Essek is never mentioned as being the one who turned over the beacons. With this in mind, we’ll attempt to focus on the Mighty Nein’s story and experiences over the lore in EGtW.

We’ve also updated the following relevant compendiums:

The family that yellow overalls together… well, we wouldn’t exactly call the Brenattos “mellow through it all” together.

  • (0:02:43) Laura: No, but seriously, “Dynamite” is a really good song. (by BTS)

  • (0:04:46) Laura: What’s the kid from Stranger Things with the really big hair? Travis: Really dope hair. Brian: Yeah, he wishes it’s still going to be this thick when he’s 46 like me. Matt: Reminds me of the Bill Paxton character in True Lies that Arnold just decks out. Brian: I do pee myself when I’m scared.

  • (0:21:15) Caleb: ...picking up a little extra work? Sam: Extra work? Doesn’t pay very much. But, you know, get points. Get free food, free craft service. Taliesin: I do okay, I have a unique look.

Level 13 Update: Proficiency Increase, Spells, and Subclass Features

Thanks to @AmyLaneDraws for this art piece, and thanks to @JQuarze for the character portraits!

Welcome to level 13! There are a wide variety of bonuses this level, but everyone gets an increase to their proficiency bonus. That means all proficient skill modifiers and saves get better, and all spell and ability DCs increase. All of the spellcasters get some massive boosts (including 7th level spells for the clerics and the wizard), and Veth and Fjord in particular get a whole bunch of cool new class stuff.
