How much gold has Bells Hells spent on transport between the spires?

As of episode 24, Bells Hells have spent a recorded 83 silver pieces on Jrusar gondola rides. (Note that this only counts moments where the cost was explicitly logged; the episodes before this cost was regularly enforced was not tracked by neither us nor the cast and is therefore not included. Additionally, we’re not including payment by NPCs, such as the rides paid by the Green Seekers.)

We will continue to present this information in our new permanent running stats page dedicated to it, but we strongly encourage everyone to use our Money, Goods, Services Exchanged tables to track such information yourself when curiosity takes you!

How much money has Fresh Cut Grass eaten?

As of episode 24, FCG has consumed a grand total of 9 copper pieces, a caltrop, and a single ball bearing. This one probably won’t become a running stat, but like the previous request, you can always use the Money, Goods, Services Exchanged tables to continue counting what has been consumed!

I noticed a missing media reference, but I couldn’t tell you when it happened.

Depending on the reference, it’s usually not too big a deal, but it does save us a lot of time if you could search out where the reference you heard came from, with episode and timestamp (and if it’s vague enough, a clip, lyric, or transcript of where the original reference came from). For callouts similar to the question, we use the CR Transcript search tool to look; if we don’t find it there, we usually consider it a false or lost lead, and dedicate our time elsewhere. Hence, if you really want to help us find a reference you recognize, find it first!

Monster Analysis: Skirath Hunters

  • Encounter Appearance: 3-023 To The Skies

  • Armor Class 18

  • Speed 90 ft flying

  • Estimated total HP: 120

    • Hunter 1: 123 damage taken, 16 HDYWTDT by Orym

    • Hunter 2: 120 damage taken, 14 HDYWTDT by Ashton

The badlands of the Hellcatch Valley serve as a persisting relic of the Calamity, the previously verdant jungle turned into a hostile wasteland. We’re reminded of the Mighty Nein’s trek through the Barbed Fields of Xhorhas in Campaign 2, which was similarly impacted by the battle between the gods. The Hellcatch Valley, also dubbed the Hungry Valley, is now home to a landscape that will quite literally open up into seemingly endless sinkholes with no prior warning… and then close those same sinkholes with no warning. This kind of unpredictable landscape makes on-land travel less than appealing, both for travelers and for a number of creatures, including the skirath hunter.

Level 6 Update: Subclass Features, Class Feats, and Sneaky Multiclassing

Thanks to @annazee_s for this art piece!

Bells Hells have successfully ventured outside of Jrusar, and with that experience, have hit level 6! From a set of new subclass features, to ability improvements, to a pair of unexpected multiclassers, this collection of upgrades is one of the most eclectic. Needless to say, we have lots of new things to talk about.

Monster Analysis: Shade Mother

Monster Analysis: Shade Mother

Thanks to @FurankyDraws for this art piece!

  • First Encounter: 3-016 The Shade Mother

  • Armor Class 16

  • Abilities:

  • Claw Attacks (4/turn)

  • Stinger Attack

  • Corrosive Nimbus

  • Legendary Action: Move (hover), Claw Attack, Stinger Attack

  • Sunlight Sensitivity

  • 143 damage taken

There are so many unanswered questions about the Shade Mother.

  • Has she always existed in the mines?

  • Has she always been responsible for the creation of shade creepers?

  • How did the Gnarlrock get into her lair?

  • What came first, the Gnarlrock or her transformation?

  • How long has she been in this transformed state?

Unless Bells Hells return to Jrusar, those questions will have to sit unanswered. Nonetheless, the Shade Mother exists in the Crownset Mines, overseen by the Underrush Mining Operation, which is currently closed at the behest of… you guessed it, House Treshi. Along her slug-like lower half is the brumestone smuggled by Dugger, and her upper half maintained four arms. We’re a little reminded of the caged creatures in Ira’s lab, which were green, slithery, and had many legs.
